The NCAA Part 21 – Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) certification preparation course is designed to equip aspiring drone pilots with the knowledge, skills, and legal competencies required to operate Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) in compliance with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) Part 21 regulations. This course prepares you for NCAA certification (ROC/RPL) and safe, legal drone operations. Covering both theoretical foundations and practical flight training, the course prepares participants for certification as professional RPAS operators or remote pilots.
Participants will learn about regulatory compliance, airspace classification, operational limitations, registration procedures, remote pilot responsibilities, and safe operation of drones in various environments, including visual line-of-sight (VLOS) and beyond visual line-of-sight (BVLOS) scenarios. Emphasis is also placed on safety management systems, airworthiness, C2 link communications, emergency procedures, and the protection of privacy and public safety.
This course is ideal for individuals pursuing careers in commercial drone operations, aerial photography, agriculture, surveying, inspection services, or research, and is a prerequisite for obtaining an RPAS Operator Certificate (ROC) or Remote Pilot Licence (RPL) in Nigeria.
